Works For Me Wednesday – Favorite Toys

The theme for this week’s Works for Me Wednesday is “Toys Worth Buying” – so you don’t end up with lots of toys that no one plays with.

My son is 4 years and there here are some of his favorite toys, past and present:

Thomas Train Wooden Train Set – my son got his first set last Christmas and he enjoys putting it together and changing the track set up. We have purchased all of his Thomas items from AC Moore or Michael’s when they were on sale for 40% or 50% off, or when we had a 40% or 50% off coupon.

Legos – legos are a classic toy. I love playing Legos with my son.

VeggieTales figures – VeggieTales are one of my son’s favorite videos and toys. My son absolutely loves playing with little toy figures. He can play for hours with his VeggieTales figurines. You can purchase playsets that come with figures or you can just buy the figures separately. He also is really enjoying Disney figurines – he got some Toy Story toys for his birthday and is hoping for more Disney ones for Christmas.

Cars – Cars (the movie) is my son’s favorite movie. And he just loves “driving” his little Pixar Cars around the house. Of course, there are tons of different cars, and he thinks he needs to have all of them…(that’s not going to happen), but he has spent many hours playing with these cars. At $3 each, they are not super cheap, but I do think we have gotten our money’s worth from these toys.
